Hello there!  We have another September layout on the blog today, this one is from Jan:

We love the new Spellbinders stamps designed by Tammy Tutterow, and Jan used this one called,"Joy looks good on you" for her title. These happy and joyful rubber cling stamps are made for colouring, and showcase Tammy's beautiful handwriting.  Kelly has also used them on her coaster project here.  The die-cut bouquet of flowers is from Sizzix's Tim Holtz Wildflowers Thinlits die (661190).  Adding  thin adhesive sheets to the top of your cardstock before die-cutting, such as SookWang or Stick-It, creates an adhesive base for your glitter on top.  The adhesive sheet applied to the back side also, creates a sticker, perfect for those intricate or thin word dies.  Besides some of the Wildflowers, she also applied glitter to the lace ribbon die-cut (Tim Holtz 661499).  There was a bit of flat white lace in the kits which Jan adhered to the back of her tag after it was die-cut with Tim Holtz Mixed Media #2 (Sizzix 661185) Thinlits die. The little white enameled Tim Holtz metal tag that is also in the kits has been stamped and coloured also.  How did she stamp on metal, you ask?  The flowers are from the Tammy Tutterow stamp, which was stamped on white tissue, then glued to the metal.  The white tissue is not noticeable on the white metal once adhered.  This is a great way to get a stamped image on a surface that is not stamp friendly or completely flat such as this tag.

In case you missed this.......

Join us for a fun night of food, wine & painting!
(what could possibly be a better combination?)
Everything is supplied!  All you have to do is show up with your friends and have a fun night of food, paint and wine!!

Hello there! Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend so far!  If you are looking for some crafting inspiration, we have Krista's September layout on the blog today:

We love that Krista took this very retro feminine collection from Authentique, and created a layout that is about running!  She used these papers as, just what they are, patterned papers.  Sometimes we all get caught up in the theme of different collections; travel, Christmas, Halloween, birthday, seasons, etc. that  we forget that quite a few of these papers are just patterns with colours that go with our photos.  Can't find a paper that has your theme written all over it?  Choose papers with colours that enhance your photos and like Krista did here; use memorabilia to document your page.  She used her racing bib to tell her story.  Sections of maps, tourist information brochures, ticket stubs, etc. can all be used as embellishments to personalize and enhance your page.  Next time you are on vacation, take photos of street signs, city signs, things that document where you are.  These can be printed, then the image cut out, matted and you have an embellishment.
Krista's pinwheels are created with Sizzix's Tim Holtz Rosette Decorative Strip Die (657177) and the word 'document' is a Heidi Swapp die coated with the glitter included in our kits.
Awesome layout, Krista and congrats on running a marathon!

KELLY'S KORNER - Pocket Letters with Prima

Happy second day of Autumn !

Thank you for visiting and helping me bid an official farewell to summer. Unless of course you live south of the equator and you're planning your next summer garden or holiday at the beach. Isn't this a big beautiful world? I'm especially reminded of it everyday when I blog or visit Instagram. It absolutely warms my heart.  To celebrate, why not create this cute coloring page, graciously offered for free from Tammy Tutterow!  You can download it at the link on her blog

As you know, I'm a big fan of colouring and Tammy's collections of stamps. When I posted my Coasting Through Summer project on Instagram, Tammy contacted me personally to say she loved them and asked for the link to our blog! Exciting right ?!

Whether next door or half way around the world, I love connecting with artists and crafters.  Speaking of connections, I'm excited to trade a Pocket Letter with Marie Friant, a fantastic paper artist living in Belgium. How fun is that?! You can find the lovely Marie on Instagram or visit Something About Marie  for an eye full of wonderful! I just love her style.

Have you heard of 'Pocket Letters' ?  It's a whole new way of crafting with paper,  Sounds like something we all like to do, right? There's ton's of inspiration at Pinterest!

You make nine small cards, paintings, collages or whatever's in your bag of tricks and pop them into a nine pocket page protector measuring 8.5 x 11. I used the new Prima Rossi Belle Collection . An opulent combinations of romance and metallic coolness that nods to the past with a modern attitude!

Their A4 pad was wonderful for creating the illusion of 3D embellishments on each collage. Here, I'm sharing four of them.

One of the pockets must contain a letter for the recipient, hence it's called a Pocket Letter. Guess what? My very dearest friend Alys  and I also met through our blogs.  She generously gifted me cherished pages from her dads vintage stamp collection and now I'm sharing one of the stamps with Marie.

I chose it because it's Canadian. Can you see the cancel marks? I left the yellowed tape on top where Mr Milner carefully pasted it to his album all those years ago. From one heart to another, this little stamp from 1903 will arrive via snail mail once again.

This is the second trade I've made with gals I've connected with on Instagram.  It's a fun community of creative souls. The gilded bird and star tucked into these collages were a gift from Jen who lives in Colorado.  Jen sells her creations on Etsy!

I'll be making another Pocket Letter for Urban soon. If you're inspired to join in the fun, you can visit this link to learn more. In the meantime, Ralph Waldo Emerson recommends, "be silly, be honest, be kind".

Thanks so much for coming by

Hello everyone!  We're back today sharing more scrapbooking inspiration with a layout from Kelly:

This retro paper collection from Authentique is right up Kelly's alley!  Love how she layered her background papers, setting them to one side.  Her glittered 'bliss' is die-cut from a Heidi Swapp Die.  Those stamped and watercolored flowers are created with Tim Holtz Flower Garden (CMS215)stamp set.
Beautiful layout, Kelly!
